TOTEM reopens this Saturday19th March

My very good friend Susan, some of you may know her as FatSu, has been a retailer here in Oman since early 2007 when she launched TOTEM, her boutique fashion shop. The concept of TOTEM has been to give their customers fresh, beautifully-made, wearable fashion - from brands that you can't find anywhere else in the Middle East, and in really small numbers.  They wanted to create somewhere you would know the story of the design and the designers you buy, and knowing that you'll be one of very few to wear it here.

They put an emphasis on socially-conscious and eco-friendly designers and materials, too, so you can look fantastic and still save the world.  And their seasons are supplemented by new collections every six weeks or so, because they like new stuff and can't resist bringing in fresh designs as soon as they're ready.

Last year TOTEM closed its doors in the MGM and had planned to open in its new location in Qurum, but this being Oman... it took a little bit longer to get the store open than planned. But I'm very happy to share the news that TOTEM will be opening its doors for business again this Saturday 19th March.

But things are actually a bit more exciting than that! TOTEM, being slightly different, have paired up with a home-grown locally conceived restaurant called Copper, which won't be fully open just yet (but will be soon). You see, Copper + Totem are in the same space, one melds into the other. So if you fancy a coffee and some designer jeans, you can do that all in house.

You can check out more about TOTEM by visiting their facebook or website. and you can check out Copper's facebook page and Instagram too. The new store and restuarant is located in Qurum on the road to the PDO / Ras Al Hamra camp, in the same block of retail units as the newly opened mOre cafe / Chez Sushi place. Here's a google maps link to where I'm talking about.
