Thanksgiving this Thursday

Coming up this Thursday 26th November is Thanksgiving (well the American version one). I've never really understood why the Americans like to celebrate Thanksgiving with a turkey a month before Christmas, but then again, one can never have enough tasty turkey!

For those of you who also enjoy a good turkey dinner, you can celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday evening at the InterContinental here in Muscat between 7-10:30pm at the Musandam Cafe & Terrace for RO 18++ per person. You can make reservations by calling 2468 0000 and asking for the Musandam Cafe.

Alternatively, you can order your very own bird to take home if you'd prefer to celebrate at home, but don't want the hassle of cooking.

A small turkey (8-10 people) costs RO 85, or a large one (14-16 people) is RO 110 including the taxes and all the trimmings. A sweet potato-hazlenut tart can be ordered for RO 12 (for 8 portions) or you can get a pumpkin pue for RO 12 (also for 8 portions).

You need to place your take-away order 24 hours in advance by calling on 2468 0000 and asking for the Majlis al Shams.
