Last night saw the launch of a new book by 2 previous British Ambassador's to the Sultanate with the title being, "Unshook till the end of time" which is taken from an agreement signed on 18th January 1800 between Oman and Britain. The actual statement in the agreement was, "the friendship of the two States may remain unshook till the end of time, and till the sun and moon have finished their revolving career".
It's a little over 300 pages and features a chronological history of relations between the two countries between 1650 to about 1975.
If this sort of thing interests you, then you can pick it up from today onwards at the Family Bookshop located in MSQ, it costs RO 15.500.
Perhaps a good Christmas present?
