Perhaps you have visitors in town, or maybe just want to catch up with some friends in style - the Sirj Tea Lounge in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt is about as luxurious a spot as it gets for most of us here in Muscat (I'm putting my hand up for afternoon tea with HM at Bait al Barakah)!

From now until the end of October, there is a fixed price offer of RO 8.800 per person (including the taxes) for afternoon tea with a wide selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones on offer. In addition to that, you may have a complementary glass of bubbles too.

I think I'll take my mum when she's here!

    OMigosh I have to try this offer for once. I always say that Sythe, when you write something but I rarely actually manage. But as a long-time devotee to tea on the weekends at the Empress back in B.C. I have to at least try Oman's equivelent? I am afraid I'll be terribly disapointed but for that price, who cares? Scones, clotted cream.... mmmmmm.
