The newest bar in town, Caramel, has actually been open for a few weeks now. They're located in the Opera Galleria and their menu looks good if you're feeling hungry, I noted most Entree's are priced between 6-10 rials, so it's as nice as The Chedi but with The Bank pricing. And it has the added benefit of being at the Opera Galleria, so you'll not have any parking issues!
The interior of Caramel is really nice, there's not many places here in Muscat with this sort of decor that you can get a drink in. And that is the real punchline in this post - from 5pm this evening, they are open with a special license that lets you have adult soda's!
Their signature cocktails are about RO 4.000 and a pint will run you about RO 3. Well worth checking out for those of you who enjoy that sort of thing.
