The rumours have been on and off for the last 6 months, and very persistent in the last few weeks. Today the rumour mills were hard at work with a candid snap on an Arabic twitter account earlier today (above image). Then there was the instruction to put up decorations in the airport, and now most recently there's been a picture circulating on WhatsApp of HM here in Oman today, I'm not publishing that image here though.
This evening at 7pm the Oman News Agency announced that HM has returned.
Welcome home, I imagine Omani's across the country will be celebrating his safe return!
What a happy end to the day.
