Muscat Rugby Club memberships now available

The MRFC memberships have actually been available for a couple of weeks but I'm lazy so what can I say? All the details are below, but to sign up, download this form, fill it in and email it, along with some photo's of yourself and any family members you are applying for to members@muscatrugby.net and they WILL be in touch (there's been a reshuffle since this summer).

Muscat RFC has re-signed a deal with Grand Hyatt, Muscat for all MRFC members. The benefits are substantial, and the savings are outlined below:

The fees to join MRFC are as detailed below:

Club membership is from 1^st Sept 2014 to 31^st August 2015. Fees are to be paid to the Membership Secretary and must be in cash (please don't send cheques, they don't have a way to cash them currently).

They are currently training twice a week at the Oman Club in Al Khuwair (map above) on Sunday and Tuesdays between 18:30 and 20:00. The vets train at the Royal Flight pitch on Tuesdays between 20:00 and 21:00.

Some of you may know that MRFC have made a substantial investment with a local partner to develop a long-term rugby pitch in Bowsher close to the Muscat Private Hospital. The seniors, juniors and vets will be sharing the pitch with 2 Omani football teams. The pitch is almost twice the size of the one at ABA so it will be great to have more space. Although it's not quite ready yet, work is underway to level the ground, install irrigation, erect a fence and the floodlights are about to go up. The only thing missing is the all important grass. This should be ready by the end of the year. They will update you with progress and pictures as well as the all important question of when they will be able to get boots on and play ball!
