In case you missed it in the news last week, there will be a new hike on cigarettes in Oman which will see prices more or less double, so expect to pay around the RO 2 per pack mark. I wonder if the tax hike will affect Shisha too, that'd be interesting to see.
I wonder if there will be a review over the ruling on banning e-cigarettes, now that various scientific groups have come out to say that it appears that vaping is a lot less harmful to you. Who am I kidding!
If you've been thinking about quitting, now is a great time - remember, really all you need to quit is self control. Its all in your mind.. well, after withdrawl anyway, and the worst of that is over after 3 days.
For those of you who have no intentions on quitting... head to the supermarket today or tomorrow and stock up... it'll be twice the price on Saturday.
